How to Use the CorDx Self-Test

Step 1: Preparation
Remove the test kit from its packaging and lay all components on a clean, flat surface. Ensure you have good lighting and allow the test to reach room temperature before beginning. Read the instruction leaflet carefully to familiarize yourself with the procedure.

Step 2: Swab Collection
Gently insert the sterile nasopharyngeal swab into one nostril and carefully advance it along the nasal septum to the back of the nasal cavity (approximately 7-8 cm). Rotate the swab 3-4 times while maintaining gentle pressure. Withdraw the swab and repeat in the other nostril using the same swab.

Step 3: Sample Extraction
Immediately place the swab into the extraction tube containing buffer solution. Rotate the swab vigorously for 10-15 seconds, pressing it against the tube walls to ensure proper sample extraction. Remove and discard the swab.

Step 4: Apply Sample to Test Card
Holding the extraction tube at approximately 45 degrees, add 3 drops of the extracted sample to the designated sample well (marked "S") on the CorDx 4in1 test card. Avoid applying too much liquid.

Step 5: Wait for Results
Place the test card flat on a clean surface and wait exactly 15 minutes. Do not move or disturb the test during this time. Results will appear as colored bands in the result windows.

Step 6: Read & Interpret Results
A colored band at "C" (Control) indicates a valid test. Additional bands at "COVID-19," "Flu A," "Flu B," or "RSV" indicate positive results for those viruses. Only the Control band showing indicates negative results for all four pathogens.
