Match replacement supplies to the device

Diabetes supplies are often specific to a meter or injection system. The selection includes Abbott FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Precision strips, pen needles and BD MICRO-FINE+ insulin syringes. Start with the exact device name rather than choosing by brand alone.

Glucose test strips

FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Precision are different strip products. Confirm compatibility with your meter and follow the strip and meter instructions for sampling, storage and use after opening. A glucose strip requires its compatible measurement system.

Pen needles and insulin syringes

Compare the needle length, gauge and compatible pen system in pen needles. BD insulin syringes include U40 and U100 scales. Those scales relate to different insulin concentrations and should not be substituted based on volume alone. Match the product to the prescribed system and instructions.
